A little trick to get more out of search engines

Without sophisticated search engines, it would be virtually impossible to locate anything on the vast expanse of the World Wide Web without knowing a specific URL. If you’ve ever searched for the same phase in various search engines (ie Google, Bing, Yahoo!, Ask etc.) you will get surprisingly different results. Though you will find the top few sites are same across all the major search engines but most of them diverges into different directions after some results. This is because each search engine has its unique way to determine the relevant result for a particular phase.
so here comes the inevitable need for many search engines to get a more particular result against a query. Because neither search engine has a monopoly on matching pages, nor does each search engine indexes each and every page on a specific topic.

Its a bit tedious to search in different search engines in different windows -- well there is always a better way :-) and that's what I’m going to discuss right now.

It’s metasearch engine which makes this task lot easier... metasearch engine is a search engine that sends your search concurrently to other individual search engines and queries other search engines, then combines the results that are received from all. In effect, the user is not using just one search engine but a combination of many search engines at once to optimize Web searching. A metasearch engine only sends your search
terms to databases of individual search engines; it does not have its own database of web pages. Polycola, Twingine, Dogpile, WebCrawler, metacrawler are metasearch engines.

well if you are not a techie at all and wondering how will it help you then dont worry these simple tips will work.

For Twingine
Simply you can type your quey in the below seach box and press 'Twingine Search' -  see what happens. :-)

For Polycola
~just go to http://www.polycola.com/ it contains a blank search form into which you can type any search query.
~Everything is quite similar to a traditional search engine. Just a little additional thing is that there is section under the 'Polycola Search' button named ‘Engine Selection’ which lets you choose from six different web search providers, i.e Google, Yahoo!, Bing, Ask, Dogpile and AOL.
~choose any two search providers from two dropdown lists.
~Enter your search query and click ‘Polycola Search’
~Yes you are there. :-)  you will get a nice interface which shows up the results pages for that query from the both search providers you have selected, side by side.

Rest are almost same

Hmm it appears like your website ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I'll just sum it up what I submitted and say, I'm thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I too am an aspiring blog blogger but I'm still new to everything. Do you have any helpful hints for beginner blog writers? I'd definitely appreciate it.
