Microsoft's move include a release of smartphone apps, windows phone based Lumia 710 and a more robust SkyDrive in the recent week time.Microsoft, which is showing a great zeal in the smartphone market,has planned to cover as much ground as possible by either of the way.i.e. either by introducing its own smart phone Operating system or by developing mobile applications.Its recent days activities has shown yet another sign of the company’s continued shift toward a more mobile-centric mentality.
  
SkyDrive for iPhone and Windows Phone
SkyDrive is your personal cloud for your documents, notes, photos and videos. Move your files into SkyDrive and immediately they’re available from any web browser anywhere in the world.There have been a number of recent updates to SkyDrive.com to improve how you share with others, manage your files and folders, and browse through your stuff amazingly fast utilizing the latest web technologies (like HTML5 and CSS3).

You can store any number of photos and files.SkyDrive meter will keep update you about the space you have used.It does provide an online storage for the files but it does not work as a FTP client.you can organize your files  in top level folders and subfolders.You can also assign permission level to the folders by making them as a personal,public or share folder.Skydrive provides you full flexibility in customizing,moving,renaming and deleting the uploaded files.Files and photo folder can be shared by directly through links or embeding them into blog and webpage can be displayed.

OneNote is an application that is extremely useful to keep a tab on your daily tasks. Microsoft has released OneNote 1.3, just in time for the holidays.

The update now brings the application to the larger screen iPad as well. Here are the changes and improvements in the new
version:

Lync App

The Lync mobile client for the iPad, iPhone, Android and Symbian phones are coming “soon”.On the Lync side,Microsoft made available to Windows Phone users the long-awaited Lync 2010 mobile client. Microsoft told its partners last week that the Windows Phone Lync client was going to be in the Marketplace as of December 12.



Lumia 710
Nokia, one of Microsoft’s highest-profile partners in its Windows Phone initiative, announced this week that the Lumia 710 will make its U.S. debut on T-Mobile Jan. 11. The midmarket device will feature a 1.4GHz processor, 5-megapixel camera, and a choice of either black or white exterior. Preloaded applications will include Nokia Drive, which offers turn-by-turn navigation and voice-activated control.

Xbox Live App
Microsoft has released an official Xbox Live iOS app. The free app, for iPhone and iPad, allows users to:
  •  Read and send messages to Xbox 360 friends
  •  Manage your friends list, invite new friends,
  •  Read and Edit your full LIVE profile (name, bio, motto)
  •  Change your avatar features/items with the avatar closet
  •  View and compare your achievement progress with friends

Microsoft has released a number of iOS apps, but with millions of Xbox Live members, this may be the most popular yet.My Xbox LIVE is available for iPhone and iPad free on the App Store.
